How to choose the right Oxess snowboard

Four boards. Four distinct riding experiences. Here is how to find yours.

The Oxess softboot lineup covers the full spectrum of on-mountain riding — from pure carving performance to powder-focused freeride. Each board has a clear identity. Understanding the differences makes the choice straightforward.

CX Pro — Pure Carving

The CX Pro is the most precise and stable board in the softboot lineup. Double Titanal construction delivers edge hold that feels unbeatable on hardpack — a direct, locked-in connection to the snow that pure carvers return to again and again. CX Pro carries the most effective edge contact, which means more grip and more stability at speed.

Titanal also provides exceptional dampening. On icy or hard-packed snow, the CX Pro absorbs vibrations rather than transmitting them — making it the board of choice for riders with knee or back sensitivities, or anyone who finds rough conditions break rhythm and confidence. It has a self-correcting, forgiving character that keeps you on edge even when technique isn't perfect.

The rider: Prioritises pure carving performance on groomed and icy pistes. Values stability, elegance, and comfort at speed. Methodical, precision-focused.

FX — Freedom Carving

The FX is lighter than the CX Pro and brings a completely different energy. Carbon construction makes it reactive and lively — genuine pop, wants to jump out of every transition, responds immediately to input. Carving performance is excellent and very close to the CX Pro, with the added versatility of handling variable terrain, soft snow, slush, and chopped-up conditions with ease.

It is fast, fun, and powerful. In slushy, soft, or mixed conditions it outperforms the CX Pro. Push it hard and it becomes demanding — it rewards good technique and punishes sloppy riding at the limit. For riders who want to carve powerfully but also jump, mix styles, and explore freely, the FX is the natural choice.

The rider: Wants powerful carving with freedom to ride mixed conditions. Values liveliness, versatility, and fun. Playful, experimental, wants one board that does it all.

AM-1 — All Mountain

The AM-1 has a trick up its sleeve. It rides easy — balanced, forgiving, with a surfy turning feel that makes it immediately accessible and enjoyable across all conditions, including Powder. It does not feel like a performance board. But then it grips.

Thanks to Titanal construction, the AM-1 delivers excellent edge hold on firm and icy slopes that surprises riders who expect an all-mountain board to compromise on carving performance. It doesn't. The combination of an easy, approachable ride with genuine carving grip is what makes the AM-1 genuinely unique — a true all-rounder that performs in powder, groomed pistes, variable terrain, and hard snow without asking you to specialise.

The rider: Wants one board for all conditions. Appreciates a forgiving, balanced feel but doesn't want to sacrifice performance. Rides everything.

P-1 — Powder and Freeride

The P-1 was built for powder and it shows. A wide, elongated nose with Powder Rocker lifts effortlessly above deep snow, and a softer flex gives the board a surfy, floaty character that makes it playful and creative in any soft condition. It is easy to manoeuvre — whether slashing through trees, floating through open powder fields, or enjoying spring slush — and invites a relaxed, expressive riding style.

Classic camber underfoot adds pop and precision when the terrain firms up, and the redesigned tail delivers edge hold when conditions call for it. The Zebrano wood topsheet makes it one of the most visually distinctive boards in the lineup. For riders who live for powder days and want a board with genuine freeride soul, the P-1 is the answer.

The rider: Prioritises powder, freeride, and creative lines. Values feel and playfulness over power and precision. Lives for soft snow days.
