Welcome to the Oxess FAQ. Here you'll find answers to the most common questions about ordering, customizing, and receiving your Oxess handmade snowboards and skis.


ORDERING

Q: How do I place an order?
A: The easiest way is through our webshop at oxess.ch For Custom Orders & Special Requests, you can also email us at info@oxess.ch

Q: When should I order to have my board by mid-December?
A: Please place your order by July to ensure timely delivery before the winter season.

Q: Why is my country not available at checkout?
A: Two reasons:

  1. In some countries (China, Russia, South Korea) we deliver only via official dealers. See our Dealers page.

  2. If your country isn't listed, we may not know the exact shipping cost. Contact us and we'll arrange delivery to your door.

Q: Do you offer any discounts?
A: FIS-licensed athletes can access our special pricing. Contact us to request the Athlete Price List.


CUSTOMIZATION & TECHNICAL

Q: How do you determine the board's stiffness?
A: We fine-tune flex based on your weight, experience, and riding style.

Q: What topsheet and logo color options are available?
A: Options vary by model. Check the product pages for available topsheet and logo combinations.

Q: What are the differences between constructions?

  • Carbon topsheet: lightweight, responsive, agile. Fiberglass/carbon (below 170 cm) or fiberglass/carbon with titanal (above 170 cm). Durable topsheet adds power and durability.

  • Full-titanal: damp, stable, controllable ride. Preferred by professional racers. Slightly heavier. Multiple topsheet colors available.

Q: Why does the white topsheet look slightly gray in the overview?
A: The white topsheet is slightly gray-toned. With a white logo it blends; with other logos it appears bright white.

Q: Do you offer C-Sink technology on all models?
A: Yes, C-Sink is available on most models (BX, RG, RS, CX, skis). Cost: CHF 280. For juniors it's optional.

Q: What is Global C-Sink?
A: Global C-Sink is our latest carbon-neutral technology, developed with Carbon Standards International (CSI). It offsets production emissions, integrates biochar to reduce micro-vibrations, and improves ride feel.

Q: I want to know the specs of my snowboard.
A: Email us your serial number and we'll send you the technical specifications.


SHIPPING & PAYMENT

Q: What are your payment options?
A: Bank transfer (no fee) or PayPal (5% fee).

Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes, we ship worldwide. Example: to the US, shipping is CHF 175 (1–4 boards) or CHF 280 (5–7 boards), excluding customs.

Q: Can I pick up my order in person?
A: Yes, you can visit our workshop in Bubikon, Switzerland to pick up your board.

Q: Why does production take so long? Why don't you keep boards in stock?
A: Every Oxess board is handmade to order. Typical delivery: 6 weeks off-season; longer during peak season (Sept–Dec).


OUTLET BOARDS

Q: How do I know the condition of an outlet board?
A: Every board in the Outlet is serviced (base & edges) before shipping. No structured stone grinds (race prep must be added later). Bases are intact and ready for your preferred structure.


SERVICE & REPAIRS

Q: Can I get my board serviced or repaired at Oxess?
A: Yes. A basic service costs CHF 60. Larger repairs depend on effort. Drop off your board at our Bubikon workshop (no appointment needed). Average turnaround: 4 days.

VISITS & PROJECTS

Q: Can I visit Oxess to discuss projects or customization?
A: Yes, but please make an appointment first: info@oxess.ch


MISCELLANEOUS

Q: Do you sell products with minor defects?
A: Yes. Check our Outlet for boards with minor faults or stock items. If you don't see what you're looking for, email us.

Q: Can I request a special deal for media content?
A: We welcome content creators. Email us your portfolio if you'd like to collaborate.

Q: Do you sponsor athletes financially?
A: No. We provide support through custom boards, technical expertise, and development — but not direct financial sponsorship.

Q: I'm a beginner. Can you recommend a board?
A: Yes! Tell us about your skiing or snowboarding experience, and we'll recommend the best model to start with.
